The researcher into the early naval history of the United States will be aware of the work of Lt. George F. Emmons U.S.N. The Navy of the United States from the Commencement 1775 to 1853. published Washington 1853. He included the private armed vessels of both the Revolutionary War and that of 1812; the images of pages covering the war of 1812 can be found from the List. The list is alphabetical by vessel name; to locate the image click on the link at the head of the section e.eg A – D.
